No intro this week; Right into the roundup!
Pete & Bas- Speeding
Resident lovable drill geezers Pete & Bas are back with something a little more melodic than normal. Per usual, it’s right on par with some of the top drill artists out right now. I can’t believe these two. If still have even half of the energy and charisma as these old bastards do in my old age, I’ll know I’ve done something right with my life. The matching tracks are fucking insane too.
Russ Millions and Tion Wayne- Body
Energy energy energy energy energy energy energy energy
NSG and Backroad Gee- After OT Bop
This is dumb smooth, but of course Backroad Gee would bring energy to a lullaby. He dominates the back half of the track. I’m loving it.
Mitch- Win
Mitch followed up that killer Plugged In freestyle with a solid, solid track. There’s a ton of slick wordsmithry at work here.
C1- Back In Blood
C1 absolutely tears that Pooh Sheisty and Lil Durk track apart.
Baby Mane- No Love
I just love his version of the wavy, auto-tuned rapping and singing. Just unabashedly emotional.
The “Deep Fried Extra American” Spliffs
Freddie Gibbs- Big Boss Rabbit
Still the best rapper with a pulse, and he’s undefeated in court. Even his loosies are harder than most artist’s album cuts.
Valee- HIMMYimmy
Avant Garde Elevator Trap Rap. Songs so short you can watch the entire video on twitter. Valee is one of the one dudes you can really say is different from everyone else. I can’t really hear anyone else in his voice. Valee is Valee. Listen to his entire new project- it’ll only take you like 15 minutes. The playlist for that is below.
