Fish N Spliffs- UK Roundup: November 16

This week we were blessed with new tracks from V9, DigDat, Double Lz, Bandokay, as well as some all-star collaborations, as Loski teams up with Stormzy, and Australian drillers OneFour enlist the help of Dutchavelli and Carnage!

Admittedly, I just haven’t had a ton of time to dedicate to the blog and to discovering new tunes over the weekend. I have been wanted to give newer, more underground artists some shine, but this week is mainly focused on some heavy hitters within the scene! And man, there were some great releases.

I’m hoping to get a few full length reviews out later this week, and maybe next week’s roundup will be much more robust. Without further ado, here are some songs to add to your library!

Bandokay and Double Lz- What’s Goodie

The 808’s are kind of out of control here, but it’s so nice two see these two guys happy and thriving. Flexible flows over some more commercial, catchy drill.

Loski and Stormzy- Flavor

Loski’s really pulling out all the stops for his debut commercial album. Here’s another track where Loski proves he’s the best chameleon in drill. Music, Trial & Trauma: A Drill Story drops November 20th.

Onefour, Duthavelli and Carnage- Better

Australian drillers link up with the ever-present Dutchavelli and American producer Carnage. This collab just makes too much sense. They recently dropped their first full project, Against All Odds, that I hope to cover, so be on the lookout for that!

wewantwriaths- Push The Button (Freestyle)

wewantwraiths is back with another melodic, auto-tuned freestyle full of emotion. He’s got such a great ability to push his voice right to the brink.

DigDat- VV

DigDat always much up for his lack of catchy choruses and overall song structure with his signature relentless flows. As the comments pointed out, most of his tracks feel like freestyles. While that may show to some that he isn’t reaching his full potential, it also shows just how naturally talented this dude is with the mic.

V9- Evil

Visuals are on point, V9’s flow is as tight and fittingly evil as always. All of the little mini V9’s are hilarious too. His videos are some of the best in the scene. As much as I love his music and his antics on twitter, not sure if he’s the guy I’d want my kids looking up to. At least he’ll teach them to project themselves though.

That’s it for the week! I hope a few of these tracks find their way onto your playlists, and like I said previously, be on the lookout for a few full length reviews this week! As always, I hope you’re all doing well, and thank you so much for sticking with me up to this point.
